Kenneth Bassey, Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Ken Bassey is a veteran of the automotive industry, having served in strategic planning, sales and account management, forecasting, and marketing capacities. His experience includes managing relationships on behalf of top tier automotive suppliers with Chrysler, General Motors, Ford, and the North American operations of multiple Japanese OEMs.

As founder of Saphran, Ken is dedicated to users growing Saphran’s commercial management solutions through continuous development and innovation.

Ken is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration.

He is a lifetime member of the Detroit Economic Club.

John Brennan, Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer

John Brennan brings more than 20 years’ experience as Saphran’s Executive Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer. He will lead Saphran’s product direction, go-to-market strategy, and industry executive outreach.

John’s background includes leading the business information firm IHS Markit, Inc. as the Global Commercial and Portfolio Strategy Lead for IHS Automotive. His responsibilities included formulating cohesive go-to-market product structure across its three automotive product groups for each of IHS Automotive’s primary customer segments, creating new product opportunities and directing M&A strategy for the vertical, which led to IHS’s largest ever acquisition of R.L. Polk & Co. in 2013.

As Vice President Global Sales & Marketing for automotive forecasting firm, CSM Worldwide (acquired by IHS Inc. in 2010), John managed the global business development team, new customer acquisition strategy, oversaw company marketing strategies and alignment of new software technologies with CSM forecast offerings to enhance customer value.

John is a member of the Advisory Board for Angels Place, the Executive Committee for the Cattle Barons Ball Detroit for the American Cancer Society, and the Executive Planning Committee for the Global Leadership Conference held at the Greenbrier by the Detroit Section of the Society of Automotive Engineers. He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Notre Dame.

Rob Kline, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Rob has nearly 20 years of experience in sales, sales leadership, new business ventures and technology consulting. His knowledge of process engineering, systems design, finance and business operations functions will improve and bolster Saphran’s leadership in sales, operations and overall organizational execution and effectiveness.

Rob has experience across many industry segments with deep practical knowledge of manufacturing. His core competencies include managing a competitive complex sales process and providing trusted advisory services to his clients driving unmatched business results. Rob is tasked with building sustainable business processes and leveraging technology to enable enterprise growth and scalability at Saphran.

Rob is a graduate of Ohio University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration.
